چکیده
In this study, Ailanthus altissima sawdust was chemically activated and characterized by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR), Energy Dispersive X rays (EDX), surface area analyzer. The used as an adsorbent for the removal of azo dye; Acid Yellow 29 (AY 29) from wastewater. Different kinetic equilibrium models were to calculate adsorption parameters. Among applied models, more suitable model Freundlich with maximum capacities 9.464, 12.798, 11.46 mg/g at 20 °C, 30 40 °C respectively while R2 values close 1. Moreover, data best fitted in pseudo second order high approaching Furthermore, thermodynamics parameters such free energy, enthalpy, entropy calculated process found be exothermic a value ?H° = ?9.981 KJ mol?1, spontaneous that concluded ?G° which negative (?0.275, ?3.422, ?6.171 mol?1 20, 30, respectively). A positive change ?S° 0.0363 indicated increase disorder during process. It could waste material, especially dyes polluted waters.

Textile Wastewater Treatment Using Sawdust as Adsorbent
The role of sawdust in the removal of pollutants from textile wastewater has been investigated. The textile wastewater was treated by using sawdust as adsorbent and then filtered. The various physicochemical characteristics of sawdust treated and untreated textile effluent were analyzed. The maximum percent removal of 37% was observed for total suspended solids while minimum removal of 9% for c...
متن کاملRemoval of Toxic Metal Cr(VI) from Industrial Wastewater Using Sawdust as Adsorbent: Equilibrium, Kinetics and Regeneration Studies
Chromium is abundant in nature and has a dominant presence in most of the effluent streams as compared to other heavy metal ions. The presence of highly toxic and carcinogenic hexavalent chromium (Cr(VI)) in effluent streams is a major environmental issue. The electroplating and tannery industry effluents are the major source for the Cr(VI) production in wastewater streams. The present work dea...
